Principals’ message

As this will be the final newsletter for 2021, I wish to thank all my staff, students and parents for their effort and support over the last year. It has been another tough one. We could only get through this by working together and that’s what you have all done. Thank you!

I would also like to thank everyone for their support of me over the past five and a half weeks. I am so blessed to be at a school with amazing staff, beautifully behaved students, and supportive parents.

I also congratulate our Year 6 students for graduating successfully. In the short time I have been here I have been impressed by the standards of behaviour you set for yourselves. This was in evidence as I watched you enjoy yourselves at the Motiv8 activities last week. I am very proud of you all! I hope you all enjoy your Year 6 Farewell. It has been thoroughly deserved!

I am very excited and looking forward to starting a full year at North Ryde Public School in 2022.

I take this opportunity to wish you all the most wonderful Christmas and hope that you can relax, celebrate and reset. Stay safe!

Last day of school for students

I remind you that the last day of school for students is Thursday 16th December 2021.

School staff will have a School Development Day on Friday 17th December 2021.

Starting school in 2022

School staff will return to school for two School Development Days on Friday 28th January and Monday 31st January.

Students will return to school on Tuesday 1st February 2022.

Super work!

Once again, my office has been graced with a number of students presenting quality work. Mayraa Singh completed a lovely artwork. Aarav Garg and Nathan Pulfer of 2C wrote amazing recounts of their incursion to the Schoolhouse Museum and Alina Zheng and Keira Cheung shared their reflections and successful achievement of student learning goals.

Well done to all of you!

COVID-19

If you have ANY symptoms of COVID-19 or are identified as a close or casual contact, you should have a PCR test and self-isolate. This is the most accurate COVID-19 diagnostic test.
Rapid antigen tests will detect most cases of COVID-19 but are not as accurate as the standard PCR test.

Self-test rapid antigen tests can be used by people in the home, workplace or elsewhere without the involvement of a doctor or health practitioner for those who don’t have symptoms.

Kind Regards
