Principal's Message

Principal’s message
The settling in period is almost complete and the school is operating comfortably.
PSSA Sport has commenced and many events are coming up.
Last Wednesday 19th February we held our Parent Information Afternoon, which included a Welcome BBQ organised by our wonderful Parents & Citizens' Association. A total of 55% of students at North Ryde PS were represented by parents, carers and grandparents. It was both a wonderful informative and social event.
Thank you to those who attended and I remind you that Parent-Student- Teacher Interviews will occur in Week 10 of Term 1.
School Photos Day also occurred on Wednesday 19th February. The students looked extremely smart in full school summer uniform.
Our first assembly of the year was on Thursday 20th February and it was a pleasure to welcome our new Kindergarten students to their first assembly, which they handled very well. Additionally, our Class Captains for Term 1 and House Sport Captains and Vice Captains were presented with their badges.
I hope you have all received the news via School Bytes about the FREE Sydney Sixers Cricket Clinics, which will occur on each Monday of Weeks 8-11 (Monday, March 17, 24, 31 and April 7)
P&C Meeting
Our first meeting was held last Tuesday 18th February. It was wonderful to see a good number of parents in attendance via Teams. We had 25 people online, which is an excellent start to the year. A new and exciting initiative is the canteen organised by Amelia and her team via Flexischools, which commenced last Friday 28th February. Please support this and any other initiatives that will be announced as the year progresses.
High School Open Days
Parents of Year 6 students, please note information on upcoming open days and afternoons from some of our local high schools.
