Zone AFL Trials

John Stewart and Tommy Garcia who were selected to attend the combined Beecroft/Ryde Zone AFL trials on Thursday afternoon at Cherrybrook PS. It was a very hot afternoon and both boys performed extremely well over the two hours. Congratulations to Tommy who was selected in the Beecroft/Ryde AFL team to attend the Sydney North AFL trials on Monday 31 March. John was named as reserve. This is a great effort from both boys.

Zone Swimming Carnival

On Tuesday 11 March, 20 swimmers represented our school proudly at the Zone Swimming Carnival. They were: Eva Agarwal, Braxton Cali, Gavin Cellacay, Keira Cheung, Jack Giles, James Gill, Zara Hunt, Leo Kingsley, Thanasi Kouroutzoglou, Kaylee Parry, Olivia Parry, Nathan Pulfer, Mason Riady, Mayraa Singh, Samuel Van Gorp, Nate Wang, Pippa Wang, Oliver Wiles, Jalyn Wu, Ivan Wu.

Miss Chiddy and Miss Longhitano were very proud of all our student’s efforts. All our students tried their hardest with some of our swimmers achieving personal best times or bettering their times from the school swimming carnival.

Some notable swimming efforts from these students were:

Ivan Wu - making 2 finals

- 5th 12 years 50m  breaststroke

- 6^th 12 years 50m butterfly (timed finals)

Nathan Pulfer      - 11th Open Boys 100m freestyle

-  8th 11 years 50m breaststroke

Mason Riady - 7^th Junior 50m breaststroke

Samuel Van Gorp -7^th 12 years 50m backstroke

Pippa Wang - making two finals

• 5^th 12 years 50m butterfly(timed finals)
