As we move toward the end of Term 2, our school community is enjoying what promises to be an exciting and eventful few weeks.

We are delighted to be welcoming Joshua Pate—pain scientist, children’s author and educator—on Wednesday 18 June. Joshua will be leading an interactive science session designed to spark curiosity and a love of learning in our students. It’s sure to be both enjoyable and memorable.

Another much-anticipated event is the P&C Disco, happening on Wednesday 2 July. This is always a highlight for students and a wonderful way to celebrate the term with music, dancing, and lots of laughter. Tickets are available now, so don’t forget to secure yours.

Families are also reminded that students are encouraged to submit their merit certificates in time for the Principal’s Medallion Ceremony in Week 10. These assemblies provide a special opportunity to acknowledge students who have consistently demonstrated effort, growth, and positive behaviour throughout the term.

In classrooms, teachers and students have been working diligently to complete summative assessments in preparation for mid-semester reports. These reports, which will be sent home on Thursday of Week 10, offer valuable insights into each child’s progress and achievements so far this year.

I would also like to take a moment to acknowledge the fantastic work of our P&C and two of our Year 1 dads, Yaser and Rej, who kindly volunteered their time over the long weekend to install new soccer nets on Playground B. Soccer is a favourite lunchtime activity, and the new nets have already had plenty of enthusiastic use. I'd also like to acknowledge our extremely productive Environment Coorindator, Linda and her team of helpers who did a remarkable job of cleaning up the school grounds.
