Principal's Message

Public Education Week 2025 occurred last week 4–8 August (Week 3, Term 3), and this year’s theme was "Ignite your potential".

This was a time to come together and celebrate the strength, diversity and achievements of NSW public education — where every student is supported to learn, grow and thrive.

We held our Open Day on Thursday 7th August and students and parents were able to view our special Art Expo. It's a shame we couldn't have a family picnic on our school grounds. We hope you all still had a wonderful day!

Please check out our photo gallery to view the artworks.

A big thank you to Mrs Taggart for her organisation of the day and also to the teachers who organised their class displays in the hall.

Please remember that Book Week comes along in Week 5. The Book Fair opens on Tuesday 19th August and there is a "Snuggle Up and Read" Mufti Day organised for Wednesday 20th August. The theme for the Children's Book Week in 2025 is "Book an Adventure". This theme is also celebrating 80 years of Children's Book Week in Australia. The theme encourages young readers to embark on literary journeys and explore new worlds through books.

Last Friday 8th August, our Year 5/6 Choir performed at the Chorals Concert at the Sydney Opera House. My thanks go to Mrs Brown, Mrs To and the Year 5/6 for their hard work and dedication over many months. You all performed superbly!

Our Athletics Carnival, has now been POSTPONED on four occasions due to the poor weather conditions and state of the grounds. We are still holding out hope that it can occur.

Tonight, Tuesday 12th August, is our Kindergarten 2026 Parent Information Evening at 6.00pm - 7.00pm in the Hall. We look forward to welcoming our new parents and providing them with what we hope is an informative evening.

Kind regards

Rob Francis
