P&C Update: Meeting with Jordan Lane MP on 14th August 2025

Jordan Lane MP recently met with our parent community to share updates and hear parent concerns. Topics covered included:

• Education – school capacity continues to be a key issue. New primary schools are planned for the area (including Midtown Macquarie Park and Lachlans Line). Until the proposed Lachlans Line school progresses, Ryde Secondary College remains the only high school for the area.
• Community Facilities & Grants – Opportunities to improve local facilities were discussed, along with possible projects that could be supported through Community Building Partnership grants.
• Transport – The need for a direct bus service to Macquarie Park remains on the agenda. While driver shortages have eased, bus availability is still linked to the completion of the Macquarie Park Bus Depot.

Jordan will continue to follow up on these issues and we will look to provide future opportunities for more parent and school community engagement.
